Review: Disney's Beauty and the Beast adapted by A.L. Singer

Synopsis: This is a children's book taken from the blockbuster Disney movie. It uses much of the dialogue and the art from the movie.

Review: The movie is marvelous and a personal favorite. This is a weaker, sadder version. It leaves out some of the best dialogue. Good for a child obsessed with the movie, but not worth reading when there are many other marvelous retellings of the tale.

  1. Hi Lauren , let me disagree with you. This is the best movie retelling that could be - at least, among the profesional ones. There's so many retellings that MUCH of the movie dialogues are left out in this ones, replaced by pictures with minimal text. Here,in Singer's version that's not such a thing. I would be glad if you're or anyone else has uploaded this version on the YouTube!

  2. Actually, I didn't read IT full when I wrote my first comment, but when I read IT full, I still stick in that point: IT is the best retelling among the professional ones/ if you want ALL the dialogues of the movie in the retelling, Lauren - try to retell the movie by yourself and use ALl its dialogues, as I try in the inspiration of Singer's book.
