Synpsis: A short biography of Theodora, a courtesan who married an Emperor and reigned with him over most of the civilizad world during the sixth century. Review: I'm not sure why or when I purchased this book. I'm not sure why, after several years, I suddenly picked it up to read. I'm not sure if it's accurate. But I know this: Theodora was an interesting historical figure and I was intrigued to learn about her. Original written in French, this thin volume was well organized, well written and did not get bogged down in useless prose or jargon. It's a descent little book, if somewhat scarce on facts.
